Magnetic Cross-Belt Separator

Magnetic Cross-Belt Separator

Cross-belt separator is widely used for magnetic separation of ferrous materials from products, ensuring a safe, metal free output.

The separator consists of two separators which are stopped separately with an interlock arrangement. The separators consist of three belts arranged in three pulleys each the central one being the driven by an electric motor. A separator can be stopped at any point on its travel across the belt conveyors to allow inspection or adjustment without stopping processing further down line. Once cleared it is restarted automatically by pushing against a catch before moving off again automatically.
